- Sabu. Growing up there weren’t many wrestlers on the scene that looked like me with a middle eastern/south Asian appearance and then I saw Sabu. Sabu was this scarred-up wild man related to The Sheik that had no disregard for his own well-being.
- Steve Austin. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is a household name even for those who are not fans of professional wrestling. Though he was only in ECW for a short period of time, he is easily the most successful star to have competed in the company.
- Mick Foley. The ever-changing and highly extreme Mick Foley was there at the start of ECW. His character Cactus Jack is the embodiment of what ECW stood for in the early days, and he took that mentality everywhere he went afterrward.
- Chris Jericho. Current AEW star Chris Jericho is one of the most impactful professional wrestling stars in the history of the business. Constantly reinventing himself since he began his career, ECW was Jericho's final stop before he made it big in WCW.
- Rey Mysterio. Speaking of Eddie Guerrero, one of his real life best friends Rey Mysterio is also an ECW star who turned out to be a success. Mysterio had a similar path to Guerrero as the two would follow each other and work for most of the same promotions throughout their careers.
