He was born on September 4, 1960, in Harlem, New York City, New York, United States. He is 62 years old.
He is the son of Howell Stouten Wayans, a supermarket manager, and Elvira Alethia (Green) a homemaker and social worker. He has nine siblings five sisters, and four brothers.
Damon has five sisters Diedre Wayans, Elvira Wayans, Nadia Wayans, Kim Wayans, and Vonnie Wayans, and four brothers Shawn Wayans, Dwayne Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans, and Marlon Wayans.
