Nov 8, 2022 · Republican Mark Gordon has won a second term as governor of the Cowboy State. The Associated Press declared the former state treasurer the winner just two minutes after the polls closed. Gordon defeated Democrat Theresa Livingston and a few minor party candidates.

Gordon was born in New York on March 14, 1957. He graduated from Middlebury College in 1979 with a B.A. in history.Prior to his appointment as Wyoming state treasurer, Gordon ran several businesses in outdoor recreation and tourism. He also worked in the oil and gas industry.

Gordon was elected as governor of Wyomingon November 6, 2018. He assumed office in January 2019.
Treasurer of Wyoming
Gordon was first appointed the treasurer of Wyoming by Gov. Matt Mead (R) in 2012 following the death of the former state treasurer, Joe Meyer (R).He left the office in 2019 to become the governor of Wyoming.
