Roy Roberts (born February 22, 1943) is an American blues musician, record producer, and singer-songwriter. Roberts grew up in a small town in Livingston, Tennessee, United States, listening to blues and R&B on radio stations.

Jimmy Reed’s “Baby What You Want Me to Do” was the clincher and at the age of 14, Roy worked on a nearby farm to earn the money for his first guitar, a mail order Sears Silvertone.

We hooked up on the verge of a new release, the first in some time, to chat with an old friend.
