As you have noticed from the recent slate of spoilers, our work on Terraria 1.3.6 is bearing some exciting fruit! This update has a lot more in store than we have shared, and with that in mind, we wanted to share one new quality of life feature that we find particularly exciting.

Cross-play
With Journey's End being designed to be a conclusion to Terraria, no new major content updates are planned for the PC version. However, Re-Logic has stated that they would like to implement cross-play, allowing Multiplayer between the PC version, Console version, and Mobile version. This will require feature parity between all three versions to function properly, as Cenx has stated. As of now, Android and PC save files appear to be almost entirely compatible and interchangeable in 1.4.4, in contrast to previous versions. This might suggest that cross-play development is nearing completion.
Terraria x Dead Cells
Terraria will be having a crossover with the hack-and-slash metroidvania game Dead Cells. The update is set to release sometime around 2023.
In the past, Redigit has mentioned plans to release Terraria 2, a separate game from the cancelled Terraria: Otherworld, although little information is known about the nature or content in the possible upcoming sequel at this time, including whether it still exists.
1.3.6 is a major content update released on May 16, 2016 for Terraria. This update contains a large number of new features, gameplay changes, bug fixes and more. New Features. The new "Frozen" biome has been added, along with several new enemies and NPCs. A new "Hardmode" difficulty has been added for players who have beaten the Wall of Flesh.
