This year, The Rink at Rockefeller Center will be open as of October 21, 2023. Tickets are on sale now.

Once peak season hits (from the week of Thanksgiving through January 1), there’s going to be a loooong line to get on the ice. So it’s best to take advantage of snagging tickets in advance and pick a date earlier in the season.

Tickets start at $21 per person, but the exact price depends on the date, the time of day and age. Skate rentals are available for $11. Local skaters can also purchase a membership to have access to the rink and unlimited skating throughout the season.

The Rink was originally designed as a temporary attraction in 1936 to draw visitors to Rockefeller Center's outdoor plaza. By 1939, The Rink became a permanent fixture. Since then, it has evolved into one of the city’s most legendary landmarks and one of the most visited sites in Manhattan, hosting more than a quarter of a million skaters annually.
