Beatrice Sheward Hatch (1866 – 20 December 1947) was an Englishwoman and muse of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known as Lewis Carroll. She was one of a select few children that Dodgson photographed nude, therefore making Hatch the subject of much contemporary study and speculation.
She tells me that ours was once the home of three girls called Beatrice, Evelyn and Ethel Hatch, who succeeded Alice as child-friends of Lewis Carroll. His photographs of the Hatch sisters have caused controversy because he posed them in the nude.
