Number of Episodes: 13. Pluses: extremely likeable main character, compelling reason to care what happens to the cast, one of the most striking sets of opening credits anime has had in years. Minuses: mood-ruining fanservice in a story about life and death, rushed plotline in the second half, unsatisfactory resolution.
Brynhildr, in my opinion, is the best anime of this season by far. It should be so much more popular than it is and if you ask me, it's the only one worth watching from the whole year so far of 2014 anime. I recommend it to anyone, it doesn't matter your taste in anime, you will find every genre here and you won't regret watching it.

In reviews of the anime the story has been called "shoddy" and "incomplete" with none of the characters being particularly memorable or having much depth. In addition they have also noted the overuse of harem antics and cliches to the extent that the series often feels more like an ecchi harem comedy as opposed to a serious sci-fi/horror series.
