The Central Michigan University Board of Trustees has established the following tuition rates for 2024-2025. Central's cumulative tuition rate increase is the lowest in the state over the past 10 years. CMU's current lower-level tuition is lower than ten of Michigan's 15 public universities.
Tuition and fees. Tuition covers the cost of your classes. We also have one student service fee that is charged each semester. To estimate your tuition, we use 15 credits per semester, the average you would need to take to reach the minimum 120 credits required for a 4-year degree.
Please note that the tuition component of the Cost of Attendance is an estimated rate for the upper division at 30 credit hours per academic year. Check out CMU's residence requirements to see if you qualify to live off campus with parents.
