New Albany – It’s Where You Should Be! Over the past several years, we have made great improvements to our city. Our roadways are vastly improved, we have invested in new infrastructure to protect neighborhoods, strengthen our schools, grow our parks and Shoreline, and support our local businesses.
New Albany is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio, located 15 miles (24 km) northeast of the state capital of Columbus. Most of the city is located in Franklin County and a small portion extends into adjacent Licking County. New Albany had a population of 10,825 at the 2020 census.
Residential construction in New Albany is enforced with the 2019 Residential Code of Ohio (RCO). Commercial construction in New Albany is enforced with the 2024 Ohio Building Code (OBC), 2024 Ohio Plumbing Code and the 2024 Ohio Mechanical Code.
The City of New Albany partnered with The Links HOA to install new equipment, a shade structure, seating benches and a new accessible play surface. Five more neighborhood park upgrades are planned in 2022, including Byington, James River, North of Woods, Lambton and Planter’s Grove.
