Accustomed to getting his man in the old-West tradition, Coogan is frustrated by legal snarls when Manhattan Detective Lieutenant McElroy tells him Ringerman is at Bellevue Hospital recuperating from an overdose of LSD and cannot be moved until the doctors release him.
