Feb 25, 2021 · In a gesture of great kindness, Spinner Cliff Hall gave me a D major harmonica which I treasure to this day. Forty-five years later, in 2018, I sang the song at a meeting of Chester U3A, to an audience of over 70 people. Many people had seen the David Olusoga TV documentary “A House in Time” and were able to relate to the story of the song.
