     I think it is a better idea to iterate over dict's keys' and values by items() method (or iteritems() if you are using python2):

     for bear_name, status in bears.items(): # get key and value for bear if status == 'friendly': print("Hello, " + bear_name + " bear!")-

     And polar bears are usually not friendly.

     from is a reserved keyword and cannot be used as a keyword argument to the dict() constructor.

     Use a {...}

     dictionary literal instead:

     data = {'key': "sadasfd", 'secret': "1213", 'to': "23232112", 'text': "sucess", 'from': 'nattu'}

     or assign to the key afterwards:

     data['from'] = 'nattu'

     or avoid using reserved keywords altogether.

     Python supports passing arbitrary keywords to a callable, and uses dictionaries to capture such arguments, so it is a logical extension that the dict() constructor accepts keyword arguments. But such arguments are limited to valid Python identifiers only. If you want to use anything else (reserved keywords, strings starting with integers or containing spaces, integers, floats, tuples, etc.), stick to the Python dict literal syntax instead.

     A list would probably fit this application better. Try this:

     d = [ x**2 for x in range(21) ]-

     With this list, you could use d[6] to access the seventh item in the list, instead of having to use a dictionary. However, if you would still like to use a dictionary, you could do it in the following way:

     d = { i: i**2 for i in range(21) }-

     Looping over a dictionary only yields the keys. Use d.items() to loop over both keys and values:

     {key: value for key, value in d.items()}-

     The ValueError exception you see is not a dict comprehension problem, nor is it limited to Python 3; you'd see the same problem in Python 2 or with a regular for loop:

     >>> d = {'a':1, 'b':2, 'c':3, 'd':4}>>> for key, value in d:... print key, value... Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>ValueError: need more than 1 value to unpack

     because each iteration there is only one item being yielded.

     Without a transformation, {k: v for k, v in d.items()} is just a verbose and costly d.copy(); use a dict comprehension only when you do a little more with the keys or values, or use conditions or a more complex loop construct.
