English. Welcome to the English Department! We are devotees of the word. We read and celebrate powerful writing, and we bring more writing into the world. This mission drives everything we do, from freshman composition instruction to the most advanced research.
Designed to help students hone their public speaking skills in English as an International Language. Focuses on preparing, organizing, and delivering speeches and presentations and interacting with the audience, emphasizing skills needed in academic settings. Prerequisite: AC ENG 23A or AC ENG 23B.
