The Fort Worth Municipal Court is a court of record whose primary jurisdiction is fine-only, Class C misdemeanor criminal cases. We strive to provide equal protection and due process of law. Our primary goal is to do justice for all who appear in our court on behalf of our residents.

Fort Worth Municipal Court, located in the A.D. Marshall Public Safety & Courts Building, handles fine-only, Class C misdemeanor criminal cases, city ordinance and code violations, parking and traffic violations, and school attendance violations within its jurisdiction.
The defendant understands that he or she has the right to: Plead not guilty and require the State to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Request a trial before a Judge or Jury. Hire an attorney. Remain silent. Subpoena witnesses. If foreign national, the right to access his or her consulate.
You may only contest a citation online within 21 calendar days from the date of citation. You may contest in person or by mail. The Hearing Officer is available between 8:00 am – noon and 2 pm – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday, at the City of Fort Worth Municipal Court, 1000 Throckmorton Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76102.
