1. Darren McGavin and Gerald S. O'Loughlin both appear in this episode. McGavin would later appear in the original pilot for the crime/drama TV series The Rookies(1972) TV series playing Lt. Eddie Ryker. When the show was picked up by ABC-TV, he was replaced by O'Loughlin. 2. When Grant Shay is talking to the hostages, he is leaning on a corral gate that clearly has a hexagon bolt through it. This didn't exist back then.
