Housebound is absolutely magnificent. Recommend. For those who haven't seen it - go watch it immediately. Excellent horror-comedy in the same vein as Cabin In The Woods or Tucker and Dale vs Evil.

Miriam is a bit of a nutbag who is convinced that their home is haunted.
When Kylie Bucknell is sentenced to home detention, she's forced to come to terms with her unsociable behaviour, her blabbering mother and a hostile spirit who seems less than happy about the new living arrangement.
Kylie Bucknell is forced to return to the house she grew up in when the court places her on home detention. However, when she too becomes privy to unsettling whispers and strange bumps in the night, she begins to wonder whether the house is in fact possessed by a hostile spirit.
