     5 seconds is not normal. Anyway you can queue the messages and when done is called take the queued messages and send to server. Look here for example

     If you want to send something to clients from outside of hub handler methods (ie not during handling message on server), you have to use GlobalHost.ConnectionManager.GetHubContext<NotificationHub>();

     Reason is that when the method is called to handle some client side message, hub instance is created by SignalR and Clients property is correctly initialized. This is not the case when you calling method yourself from server code (and probably creating hub instance yourself).

     Imho error message is not very clear and this use case should be handled better by SignalR. Anyway for the same reason i suggest to separate all the methods sending messages to clients which are intended to be called from server code to different class (not derived from Hub).

     You are instantiating a contract inside another contract which is inhering the callee. Kinda circular reference.

     When you inherit a contract(Project1) from a base contract (Project 2), the inheriting (Project1) should be the one that makes the calls. Your (Project2) contract acts like a base contract. The inheriting contract (Project1) can call or override all the functions in the base contract if needed. So here my suggestions (it's one way among many to solve your problem). See below. I compiled it and deployed and it works. Don't forget to provide an address when deploying. I hope this would help. If you have other questions you reach to me.

     Well... as I was typing the tags for my question, it appeared that stack overflow already had defined the terms in the tags description. Here their definitions which I found very good:

     Remote debugging is the process of running a debug session in a local development environment attached to a remotely deployed application.

     Profiling is the process of measuring an application or system by running an analysis tool called a profiler. Profiling tools can focus on many aspects: functions call times and count, memory usage, cpu load, and resource usage.

     Tracing is a specialized use of logging to record information about a program's execution.

     All things that allow an application to talk to a computer are an "API." That's a very broad term. It may refer to something as small as malloc, or as large as Cocoa. All of these are "APIs" in the broadest sense of the term.

     On Mac and iOS, "framework" can have a specific meaning, which is a dynamically loadable bundle in a specific format. It can also have a broad meaning of "a collection of libraries that work together." There is a Cocoa.framework, but there is also the broader architecture of "Cocoa" which is a way of attacking problems together with a set of tools for attacking problems in that way.

     An "Application Environment" is any environment that applications can run in. So Mac OS X could be considered an App Environment, or you might consider Darwin to be an App Environment, or Cocoa, or Carbon. It depends on what you're comparing it to.

     The point in all of this are that these are not industry-wide well-defined terms. They're used to mean a lot of overlapping things, and they are sometimes used slightly different ways even within the Apple docs.
