May 4, 2021 · Deaf and hard of hearing students in Iowa have the option to attend public and private schools across the state — usually referred to as a mainstream setting — or the Iowa School for the Deaf. The School for the Deaf currently has 92 students enrolled and living on campus, and 16 students enrolled through remote learning.
