Joan C. Johnson Watercolor Artist Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Joan has lived most of her life in Southern California (with a few young years in Kentucky and Oregon).
This exhibition celebrates a recent promised gift of fraktur to the Museum from art collectors Joan and Victor Johnson. One of the most admired forms of American folk art, fraktur are decorated documents featuring brilliant colors and often whimsical imagery.

The Featured Artist at the Eastwind Gallery in Orleans will be Joan Johnson from Friday, September 21 through Thursday, September 27 th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. During this time, Joan will exhibit her lovely artwork of acrylic paintings, framed and unframed prints, decorative tiles, cutting boards and cards.
Joni T. Johnson (1934–1988) was an American painter from Swayzee, Indiana . Education. Johnson went to Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis and attended the John Herron Art Institute. Career.
