The Gem's mystical power transformed Marko into Cyttorak's avatar on Earth — the Juggernaut. Marko used his powers to spread chaos and cause destruction often together with his partner-in-crime Black Tom Cassidy .
The mystic named Gomurr the Ancient sought to help free Cain from the jewel, imbuing him with the gem's power. Using his newfound strength, Cain destroyed the aspect and was freed from the gem, returning with more power than ever before.
The Juggernaut guest-starred in Secret Wars II #7 (January 1986), battled a new generation of mutants in X-Men #217–218 (April & June 1987), appeared in a flashback story in Marvel Saga #21 (August 1987), and in a humorous episode in Excalibur #3 (December 1988).
Marko, now the Juggernaut, eventually dug himself free with his newfound power and made his way to America to use his power to kill Xavier. He was defeated by Xavier and his original team of X-Men with the help of the Human Torch.

- POWERFUL: RESISTANCE TO PSYCHIC ATTACKS. For a long time, Juggernaut’s only weakness was psychic attacks. He wore a helmet that acted as his defense against powerful mental strikes.
- POWERFUL: PHYSICAL GROWTH. As Trion Juggernaut, the red behemoth is also able to alter his physical size. He can grow his body larger than a sentinel when the fight requires it.
- WEAK: HELMET FRAGILITY. Why does Juggernaut’s entire armor set have immeasurable durability, while his helmet is vulnerable? He doesn’t even need any of the body armor outside of the helmet.
Jul 8, 2023 · Little is known about Trion itself, as it only appeared in a grand total of three Marvel Comics (X-Men #88, Uncanny X-Men #369, and Avengers #50). But, what is clear about the entity is the power it offers its host, even if the host isn’t aware of said power at all.
Marvel. Due to his close association with mutants like his step-brother Charles Xavier, the X-Men, Excalibur, Black Tom Cassidy and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Cain Marko is often considered a mutant himself on Earth-616, [1] and is in fact also sometimes truly a mutant in some realities.
