In 1965 she received an MA degree in the History of Ideas from Brandeis University, followed by an MA in Anthropology from Columbia University in 1975. [1] Publications.

  5. Recently, the Beinecke acquired my work from other regions of the country, including my series, New Orleans & the Levees and Miami and South Florida. In 2022, Special Collections at Stanford University made a significant acquisition of my work from the series, Downstream: Encounters with the Colorado River.

  6. Karen Halverson received her BA from Stanford University and her MA from Columbia University. Her photographs were first exhibited in a 1976 group exhibition at Bard College in New York State. Her first solo exhibition took place in 1988 at the Witkin Gallery in New York City.
