Magdalena "Lena" Holzer (née Magdalena Neuner German pronunciation: [makdaˈleːna ˈnɔɪ̯nɐ] ⓘ, born 9 February 1987) is a retired German professional biathlete. She is the most successful woman of all time at Biathlon World Championships and a two-time Olympic gold medalist.
Born in Wallgau, a little village around 15 kilometres from Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Magdalena Neuner became a three-time Olympic medallist at the Vancouver Games in 2010. The medals she won at her first Games were anything but a surprise to biathlon watchers.
