    Prior to marrying Maloney, Canary was married to production manager and producer Julie M. Anderson. They were married from 1965 until 1971 and had one child together, a daughter named Lisa Canary.     Both Maloney and Canary were each philanthropists and opened the Wilton Education Foundation’s 1997 spelling bee. They often volunteered with several local charities, according toUs Weekly.

    Both Canary and his wife were active members of the Wilton, Connecticut community where they lived. Canary died on November 16, 2015 at an assisted living facility called The Greens at Cannondale in Wilton, Connecticut at the age of 77.

    Maloney and her husband had two kids together – Christopher and Kathryn. In turn, Canary had three children. He also is survived by a grandson and his brother John.

    Because of their efforts in the community, in 2005, Maloney and Canary were named Distinguished Citizens of the Year by the Wilton YMCA. According to the Wilton Bulletin, funeral services for Canary were privately held for immediate family at Bouton Funeral Home in Georgetown. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, ALZ.org.
