For approved programs, the Post-9/11 GI Bill provides up to 36 months of education benefits. If your release from active duty was before January 1, 2013, there is a 15-year time limitation for use of benefits.

The Post-9/11 GI Bill can provide assistance with: Tuition and fees. If you qualify for the maximum benefit, the Department of Veterans Affairs will cover the full cost of public, in-state tuition and fees. The VA caps the rates for private and foreign schools, and updates those rates each year.
The Post-9/11 GI Bill (chapter 33 benefits) is an education benefit program specifically for military members who served on active duty on or after September 11, 2001.
