New Braunfels Independent School District (NBISD) is a public school district in New Braunfels, Texas (United States). Located in Comal County, a small portion of the district extends into Guadalupe County. In 2009, it was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency and it received a "B" under new standards put into place in 2018.

May 21, 2024 · NBISD to be closed week of July 4th. New Braunfels ISD schools and offices will be closed for the week of July 4th. This closure will be in effect from Friday, June 28, through Friday, July 5. Schools and offices will reopen on Monday, July 8.
