REAL ID Checklist. In an effort to ensure you have all of the required documents to obtain a REAL ID driver's license or identification card (DL/ID), the office of the Secretary of State has developed an interactive checklist to help prepare you for the application process.

REAL ID DOCUMENT CHECKLIST. Effective May 7, 2025, a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license (DL) or identification card (ID) will be required to board domestic flights unless you have a valid U.S. passport. To apply for a REAL ID DL/ID, please bring the appropriate documentation specified below to your local DMV.
