Jessica Goldberg (born 1975) is an American playwright, screenwriter, and television writer. In 1999, she won the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize for her play, Refuge. Goldberg is the creator of the Hulu series The Path and served as the showrunner for the Netflix series Away.
Set in a rundown house somewhere in America, REFUGE tells the darkly funny and touching story of a young woman, Amy, forced to care for her younger brother and sister after her parents have abandoned the family and fled to Florida for a vacation from which they will never return.

A delicate and good-hearted film about the anguish and wistful unhappiness of a young woman’s new life. Krysten Ritter plays Amy, who becomes the caregiver to her younger siblings. Krysten injects this charisma and fragility towards pain and love that’s deeply moving.
