- Casual dating. Casual dating relationship status represents a relationship where individuals are not exclusively committed to each other. It allows people to explore connections with multiple partners simultaneously, focusing on enjoying the present without the pressure of long-term commitment.
- Friends with benefits (FWB) In this arrangement, two individuals engage in sexual activities while maintaining their friendship. Unlike traditional relationships, FWB focuses on physical intimacy without the complexities of romantic feelings.
- Ghosting. Ghosting involves one person suddenly ceasing all communication with their partner, leaving the other person confused and without closure. Such a phenomenon reflects the impersonal nature of digital communication in modern dating, where ending a relationship can be as easy as ignoring messages, leading to a lack of accountability in dating practices.
- Benching. Benching is akin to keeping someone as a backup option while exploring other romantic possibilities. It involves giving just enough attention to keep someone interested without committing to a relationship.

- Happy and consolidated. This was the most common type of relationship, and people in this group were a lot like happy and independent couples. The one big difference was how much they combined their lives.
- Exploratory. Individuals who fell into this group were often at the beginning of a new relationship. They had not been together very long, and their interactions were a little less positive than the happy and independent or happy and consolidated groups.
- Stuck. Stuck couples do not have the same positive interactions as happy couple types and are not as satisfied with their relationships. Even though they have been together the longest and have integrated their lives together, they generally do not expect to marry their partners, and more than half had broken up and gotten back together.
- Almost relationship. The term ‘almost relationship‘ is very touchy for some people and it can be a heartbreaking experience for many. When this is your relationship status, it means that you have a connection with the other party.
- Dating. Dating is a better-known term that’s more commonly used in our society. We can describe this by saying that it’s two people who meet up socially to assess their compatibility.
- Friends with benefits. Imagine two good friends who figure out that they want to bring physical intimacy into their relationship. It’s not a romantic relationship, however, as they only make a pact to experience physical pleasure with each other.
