Ricardo Carlos Castro Yan ( Tagalog: [jan]; March 14, 1975 – March 29, 2002) was a Filipino actor known for his roles in numerous romance and comedy films and TV shows in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Yan started his career as a commercial model in 1995 after being discovered by a talent agent while a student at De La Salle University.

This means that his pancreas, an organ that produces digestive enzymes and hormones, became inflamed and started bleeding internally. This caused severe pain and pressure in his abdomen, which may have explained his groaning.
