I've been living in Bucharest for a month now, and at the end of May I will receive visitors from France for a few days. One of the fantasies they have about Romania is to listen to traditional “Gypsy” music with violins, as we understand it in Western Europe.
I tried searching the internet and apparently there is a place that advertises on their website that they have live music (Romanian, not gypsy) from Thursday to Sunday every evening after 18:00, I would however call before going there since the information may not be up to date.
