Russell David Johnson (November 10, 1924 – January 16, 2014) was an American actor. He played Professor Roy Hinkley in Gilligan's Island and Marshal Gib Scott in Black Saddle.
Russell Johnson (1924-2014) was a versatile actor who appeared in Westerns, Sci-Fi and comedy shows. He also served in World War II as a bombardier and received the Purple Heart. He is best known for playing the Professor on Gilligan's Island (1964).
