Sands Point Golf Club was formed in 1928, when A. W. Tillinghast was invited to modify an existing 9-hole layout and construct another nine. The layout’s been altered many times down the years, but Tilly’s trademark deep greenside bunkers survive.
The Club property, facing Long Island Sound covers approximately 210 acres of sprawling lawns, estate gardens and prime waterfront views. A unique facility, the Village Club of Sands Point provides: 18-Hole Championship Golf Course Designed by Robert Trent Jones & Tom Doak.
