After steady improvement in each of his collegiate seasons, the Wolverine captain looks to cap his strong career with his best season yet.
Sean Patrick Michael McNamara (born May 9, 1962) is an American film director, film producer, actor, and screenwriter. McNamara was born in Burbank, California. He is best known for his feature films Soul Surfer and The Miracle Season.
A three-time state champion in track and cross country, McNamara swept the distance triple crown in his senior year winning the 2004 individual cross country title (14:32.4); and winning both the 1600-meter run (4:13.95) and the 3200-meter run (9:15.37) at the 2005 IHSA state track meet.

Sean McNamara is a featured guest speaker at camp. As a youth, he ran for York High School and University of Michigan. Sean won three Illinois state championships for York HS, finished 12 at the 2004 Foot Locker championships, and won the Nike Team Nationals individual title while leading York (KROY) to the inaugural team title.
