At first, Richie helped Static by providing him with handy equipment—a mylar disc which he could use for transportation, a "Shock Vox" for communication, special tracking devices audible only to Static, and Zap Caps, small grenades that stored Static's electromagnetic power.
Richerd Foley AKA Gear is a superhero and the deuteragonist in Static Shock. Richie Foley is the best friend of Virgil Hawkins. Virgil gained electrokinetic powers and told Richie of it.
"Gear" is the second episode of the third season of Static Shock. It first aired on February 1, 2003, and depicts the transformation of Richie Foley into the superhero Gear. Richie shows Virgil some projects he's been working on.
Static Shock is an animated series that ran on Kids WB from 2000-2004. It followed the adventures of Static (Virgil Hawkins) and his partner Richie Foley, who in the third season became Gear.
Richie Foley, also known as Gear, was the best friend of Virgil Hawkins (Static). After the Big Bang, Richie came up with the idea of being a super hero. Over time, he began growing jealous of Static's powers, and yearned powers of his own.
Static Shock is an American superhero animated television series based on the Milestone Media/DC Comics superhero Static. It premiered on September 23, 2000, on the WB Television Network's Kids' WB programming block. Static Shock ran for four seasons, with 52 half-hour episodes in total.
Static and Gear eventually defeat them, though their fates following this are left unknown. A series original character, Ebon was later incorporated into the comics, beginning with 2021's Milestone Comics relaunch, Static: Season One .
