In a dystopian America, a major source of entertainment is the Long Walk, in which 100 teenage boys walk without rest along U.S. Route 1. Each Walker must stay above four miles per hour. If a Walker drops below this speed for 30 seconds, he gets a warning.

It premiered in the Giornate degli Autori section of the 76th Venice International Film Festival.
