  5. Jun 30, 2015 · Decidedly unfashionable hero with unimpeachably sound views. Short stories involving Horne Fisher as the central man who knew too much. Every story's ending was unpredictable, every one was utterly gripping. Did not expect to enjoy this book half so much - not conventional detective short story effort - but I couldn't stop reading these.
