The Runestone is a stylish, witty and at times frightening interpretation of the Fenrir myth, brought up to date with some very clever scripting and design. The Director has used imagination and creativity to make this film into a modern myth come to life. The actors are all excellent, the dialogue snappy and the action intense.

Despite a somewhat elevated reputation amongst b-movies, THE RUNESTONE is a poor movie on most levels. The plot is actually a very interesting idea, and I'd be curious to read the hard-to-find story by Mark E. Rogers and compare the film to the author's original vision, but in point of fact the film is doomed by a host of problems and bad ...
TITLE: The Runestone [DVD] [1981]. Good - The disc plays perfectly but has clear signs of wear. Very Good - Plays perfectly. The jewel case might show limited signs of wear, as might the inlay notes and inclusions.
