Aug 7, 2017 · When writing a title card, start in the middle of the card. Write the book title just as it appears on the cover, including any subtitles. Underneath the title, write the author's name, last name first followed by first and middle name or initial.

The card catalog is a cabinet of small drawers that contain the file card for every book in the library. Each drawer is labeled to show what part of the alphabet it covers.
