Thomas Cunningham Thayer (born November 7, 1960) is an American musician. Thayer was the lead guitarist and vocalist for the hard rock band Kiss from 2002 to 2023. He was also the lead guitarist for the band Black 'n Blue.

Jan 7, 2013 · published 7 January 2013. It's hard to imagine that 10 years have gone by since Tommy Thayer officially took over as the “Spaceman” in Kiss. It seemed only fitting that the Spaceman should don the Les Paul. However, as fate would have it, Thayer has been a longtime Les Paul player, even back in his days in Black and Blue.
