Once the event officially begins (usually around 4pm Friday), photography by the players is not allowedin the "in game" area until the event ends. Photos may be taken before, after and in the put of play area.

No, although you can switch factions in between years (i.e. you can be Hearth-Guard one year and Kingsmen the next). For logistics and planning purposes, not to mention trust and safety within factions, you need to stick with the faction you bought your ticket with through the duration of the event.
