STORY: :: A deadly Russian missile attack on a park in Ukraine's Kharkiv has killed a child and injured at least 40 people :: Kharkiv, Ukraine :: August 30, 2024 A child killed in a playground in a city park was among the dead, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said on Telegram. Parts of the park were cordoned off by police who were inspecting pieces of an unidentified metal object. A puddle of blood was seen under one of the park's benches. Three more people were killed in a 12-story apartment block that caught fire as a result of the strike, Terekhov said.

STORY: :: Eyewitness video shows Russian oil depot ablaze after alleged drone attack by Ukraine :: Released August 28, 2024 :: Kamensky District, Russia The Baza Telegram channel, which is close to Russia's security services, said that three tanks were burning after two drones struck the depot. Reuters could not independently verify the reports. There was no immediate comment from Ukraine. The attack comes while tanks were still on fire at another Rostov oil depot, in the Proletarsk district, some 10 days after the depot was attacked, Russian Telegram channels report. Reuters was able to confirm the location from nearby buildings, utility poles and storage tankers which match satellite imagery.

Russia fired over 200 missiles targeting Ukraine's power grid and water plants that killed at least seven people. The attack comes as Ukraine continues to push into Russia's Kursk region, the location of key Russian military bases.

Multiple people were killed and injured in a second night of missile and drone attacks on infrastructure targets across the country from Lviv to Kharkiv.

At least three people are dead after Russia launched several attacks across Ukraine Monday. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says more than 100 missiles and 100 drones were used.
