is the thirty-sixth installment of the reality television show, The Amazing Race.

Filming for this season began on October 25, 2022, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with locations reported in Córdoba, Argentina on November 4, before concluding in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 17. Much like The Amazing Race 33 and The Amazing Race 34, this season used an Amazing Race-branded Global Crossing Airlines Airbus 320 charter airplane due to the then-ongoing COVID-19 pandemic with restrictions were loosened. Destinations for this season including Argentina, Barbados, and the Dominican Republic. Though billed as the thirty-sixth season, it was the 35th season to be filmed and produced under the original working title The Amazing Race 35. This marks the first time the show has aired seasons out of order.

On May 10, 2023, CBS announced that the show will air 90-minute episodes instead of the standard 60-minute episodes due to the ongoing 2023 Writers Guild of America strike. Due to the expansion to 90-minutes, production decided to film its predecessor, The Amazing Race 35 – the 36th season to be filmed – in June 2023, which featured standard circumnavigation route and regular commercial air travel intended to fill the expanded time slot instead of trying to re-edit this season's already-finished 60-minute episodes to pad for time, clarifying that the premiere of this season had been postponed indefinitely but would air at a later date.

However, on November 13, 2023, it was announced that this season will air 90-minute episodes beside Survivor 46, much like the previous season. Thus, the decision was ultimately made to re-edit this season's original 60-minute episodes filmed in 2022 to accommodate for the additional 30-minute runtime.

As has been the case since The Amazing Race 34, there will be no Non-Elimination Legs.
