May 16, 2008 · The CC Mixter Remix-Project by Calendar Girl // Tamara Barnett-Herrin - better known as calendar girl - started a fantastic project back in October 2006. The idea was simple: Write each month a song and release the original material under a creative commons licence.
Tamara Barnett-Herrin lives and works in London. She performed as lead vocalist with UK electronica act Freeform Five and has contributed vocal performances for various other artists including Lindstrom, Mylo, and Shinichi Osawa. She started Calendar Songs in October 2006 as a project that could only live online through listeners and collaborators.

The title of the work relates to Perret’s and Barnett-Herrin’s shared interest in speaking and semiotics: “o” can be a sound, a discrete word (“Oh!”), as well as a symbol for a circle or the integer zero.
