Jan 8, 2019 · Steve Hunt asked the court to review last month's Election Board decision to drop him from the council race in southwest Oklahoma City's Ward 5. Tuesday's decision means incumbent David Greenwell, seeking his third term, will face one challenger, Kristina Hull, in Feb. 12 primary.
Cornett became the Mayor of Oklahoma City on March 2, 2004. He was re-elected to a second term on March 7, 2006, by an 87.6% margin, the largest in city history. In 2010, he became only the fourth mayor in Oklahoma City history to be elected to a third term, defeating Steve Hunt by gaining 58% of the vote. [ 2]
Dec 12, 2018 · After a hearing Tuesday, the Oklahoma County Election Board unanimously ordered that Steve Hunt be stricken from the ballot. Hunt, who ran for mayor in 2010, losing to Mick Cornett, filed last week to challenge Councilman David Greenwell.
Steve Hunt ran for election to the Oklahoma City Council to represent Ward 5. He did not appear on the ballot for the primary on February 12, 2019.
