    Cattail Marsh is located inside of Tyrrell Park, managed by the city of Beaumont. Restrooms and picnic facilities are available throughout the park; however, there are no restrooms at Cattail Marsh.

    From Interstate 10 in Beaumont, exit at Walden Road and go east, then go straight onto Tyrrell Park Road. The entrance to Tyrrell Park is on Babe Zaharias Drive. Once inside the park, follow the signs to Cattail Marsh as the road loops past the golf course and stables.

    The paths around Cattail Marsh are wide, flat, and consist of hard-packed soil and short grasses. The wooden boardwalk is wheelchair-accessible. Use the elevator to reach the top of the observation deck and information center.

  2. Cattail Marsh is an amazing escape. So close to the city geographically, but it's a different world. Cattail is my go-to getaway in Beaumont. The 720-acre marsh, surrounded by trails atop the berms separating the lagoons, is only 10 minutes from the south-end hotels, adjacen to Tyrell Park.
