   What is the Official Languages Commission?

   • The Official Languages Commission was established by the Official Languages Commission Act No. 18 of 1991.    When is Tamil language day?

   • Tamil Language Day is commemorated annually in October and a special programme to mark this day was conducted on 28.10.2022 by the Official Languages Commission at Sri Lanka Foundation on the “objective of promoting language circles” in 22 Tamil schools covering the Colombo educational zone.
