Oct 28, 2022 · The Official Language of Sri Lanka shall be Sinhala. According to the 13th Amendment to the Constitution of 1978, Tamil shall also be an Official Language and English shall be the Link Language.

According to the 13th Amendment to the Constitution in 1987 and the 16th Amendment to the Constitution in 1988, both languages of Sinhala and Tamil became the Official Languages in Sri Lanka and English language as the link language.
