Brad Rheingans. A native of Appleton, Minnesota, Brad Rheingans has one of the most impressive amateur resumes of any professional wrestler ever. He won eight national titles in Greco-Roman wrestling and was an NCAA champion for North Dakota State University.
NCAA Division II national champion in 1975 at 190 pounds and All-America on two other occasions -- 1972 (5th, 190) and 1974 (2nd, 177). Rheingans advanced to the 1975 NCAA Division I championships and placed fourth. He ended his NDSU wrestling career with a 96-11-0 record (.897).
