The Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum (MSU Broad or BAM) is a nonprofit, contemporary art museum designed by Zaha Hadid located on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, United States. It opened on November 10, 2012.
The Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum (MSU Broad Art Museum) recognizes the immense legacy of humanitarian, entrepreneur, arts advocate, and MSU alumnus Eli Broad (1933–2021). Mr. Broad and his wife Edythe believed in the vision of a world-class art museum for Michigan State University.
The Broad was founded by philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad on Grand Avenue in downtown Los Angeles. Designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro in collaboration with Gensler, the museum offers free general admission and presents an active program of rotating temporary exhibitions and innovative audience engagement.
