Almost entirely included are Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham, Newham and Waltham Forest, except for a few streets.

The capital postal area is divided into 119 districts, each centerd on a sorting office. An address in, say, SW1 carries a status that can be translated into property values.
The London post town covers 40% of Greater London. On inception (in 1857/8), it was divided into ten postal districts: EC (East Central), WC (West Central), N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, and NW. The S and NE sectors were later abolished.
